Podium Places for Harriers at the Weekend

Saturday saw Harriers achieve plenty of podium finishes and course personal bests at a large variety of Parkruns.

Omagh Parkrun

Many congratulations to Gordon Linton, who placed first out of 111 at Omagh in a highly competitive dash to the finish, with a tremendous course PB of 17:51.

Antrim Parkrun

On Saturday Connor Martin had a great result to take a closely contested second overall in a field of 222, also achieving a new course personal best of 18:19. Paul McLaughlin finished in the top five with his sub 20 time of 19:27, Jane Thom completing in 26:18.

Dungannon Park Parkrun

57 Parkrunners tackled the somewhat forbidding conditions at Dungannon on Saturday, Rachel Hughes distinguishing herself again on finishing as second lady overall in 22:07. Patsy Hughes completed the course in 24:06, with Terry Hughes crossing the line in 26:18.

Crawfordsburn Country Parkrun

Colm Gallagher marked his first outing at the 60 strong Crawfordsburn Parkrun with a finishing time of 24:51.

Citypark Parkrun, Craigavon

On Saturday 232 took to the Citypark Parkrun, with Kieran Campbell completing the lap of the lakes in 22:53, to be joined by Martin Donaghy in 27:58.

MUSA Parkrun, Cookstown

The MUSA Parkrun saw 81 take part on Saturday, Jason O’Neill the first Harrier home in 21:41. Gavin O’Hagan joined him at the finish in 22:39, with Barry O’Neill completing in 27:48. Very well done to Junior Harrier Amelia Corey who achieved a great new personal best of 43:05, accompanied by Tanya Quinn in 43.08.

Sperrin Harriers Winter League

The Sperrin Harriers Winter League reaches its conclusion with the Parkanaur 10M on Saturday 26th February at 12 noon, kindly sponsored by Oliver Corey Garages. The course follows an undulating trail route which winds through the scenic Parkanaur woodland four miles west of Dungannon, County Tyrone.
