Stunnerz n Runnerz a Roaring Success

Killyclogher 10K

Another well-organised event was held in Killyclogher, outside Omagh on Saturday. A downhill first kilometre can lull runners into believing this to be an easy 10K, but a few hills later can really sap the energy from the legs! Well done to Paul on his age category placing and to Brian and Richard on very solid runs.

Stunnerz n Runnerz 5K

Once again the Sperrin Harriers organised an extremely successful event at Loughry College Campus. The pre-race warm-up got the 300 ladies in the mood for the race, before Black Paddy gave them a few laughs at the start line. He was the only male runner to complete the race, but he was well behind the winner Elaine McGuckin (Keep ‘er lit) who crossed the line just below the 19 minute mark. She was closely followed by Judith McMaster and Nicola Sargent from Tafelta AC. The Harriers would like to thank our main sponsor Cemcor along with all our other sponsors for their support in helping us run another successful Stunnerz n Runnerz race. The evening finished with a lovely supper provided by Sperrin Harriers club members, some more craic from Black Paddy and the prize giving.
