Sperrin Harriers took part in multiple events over the first weekend in July, including the inaugural Larne AC Coastal 10k, Parkrun and the Finn Valley AC Golden Jubilee 10 mile run.
On Saturday, 5 Harriers took part in the Larne AC Coastal 10k. The out and back race started and finished at the Ballygally Hotel, located on the picturesque Antrim Coast. Andrew Newell led the Harriers home in a time of 36.45, closely followed by Gordon Linton (36.55), Mark Gibson (37.06), Richard Fox (43.53) and Peter Mitchell (46.09). This was the first race for Gordon and Mark as Harriers.
Brian Taggart marked his return to Parkrun with a 1st place finish at the MUSA Parkrun event with a time of 16.46. Also taking part at MUSA Parkrun were; Jason O’Neill (22.41), Colin Thom (24.15), Louise Kelly (25.10), Jane Thom (25.26), Patricia Boyle (25.41), Tanya Quinn (25.51), Joanne Fingleton (25.51), Tony O’Neill (25.52), Catherine Farley (26.20), Hannah Glasgow (26.45), Paula Glasgow (26.45), Dearbhla Glackin (27.24) and Gillian Robinson (28.29).
Martin Donaghy completed Dungannon Park Parkrun in a time of 27.07.
On Sunday, 3 Harriers took part in the Finn Valley AC Golden Jubilee 10 mile run in Ballybofey, County Donegal. Connor Martin had the standout performance, running a personal best time of 57.56. Paul McLaughlin and Raymond Thom also ran well with times of 63.00 and 69.56.
